Daily update

Thanks for tuning in for the daily update... What's that you say, there hasn't been an entry on this blog for better than two months? It kind of takes all the thrill out of a daily entry if it happens every day, doesn't it?

So, what's new... The lights are up around my house, the tree is hung by the chimney with care, and I'm looking for some chestnuts right now.

I just finished another marathon batch of surfboards, and yesterday was my first day off without a surfboard to work on. I wandered into the garage a dozen times just knowing there was something I needed to be working on.

The next big push is preparing for our upcoming trip to Ecuador. Only like a month and a half away, so time to start practicing our spanish and getting into shape for those marathon surfing sessions. Then comes the big challenge, choosing only two boards out of my current 8 to take with me. It'd be easy if I could take three, but the airline limits it to two in a bag. Damn it.

In other news, surf was great on tuesday, head high and offshore winds... Really about as good as it gets around here. I hadn't been in the water for about two months, and the temperature had dropped from 80 degrees to below 60. Got the wetsuit out for that one. Good times, made me sore.
